A Queensland owned family business Thomas Textiles, has been established for over fifty years. From their early beginnings, Thomas Textiles has experienced extraordinary growth over the years with a focus on the Hospitality and Healthcare Industries.

Today they are seen as leaders in the Textile Industry. Their long association with Australia's largest home textile manufacturer, Actil/Sheridan Australia, sees Thomas Textiles proudly recognized as the longest associated Commercial Distributor to the company.

Capitalising on their experience, Thomas Textiles has sourced opportunities from markets both nationally and abroad. This has resulted in the supply of durable and innovative products from leading Australian and overseas mills.

Combining this with the acquisition of Contract Curtains in1997, has given Thomas Textiles the competitive edge in soft furnishing as well providing clients with a total coordination service.

Providing a personal service to all clients, Thomas Textiles experienced sales and customer service team, deliver this recognized total coordination service professionally. This service extends through to a complete outfitting of rooms approach, that includes the supply of goods from small electrical products to janitorial supply.

Statement of Commitment

Thomas Textiles respects the privacy rights of all individuals in the workplace. Furthermore, our Management Team is committed to ensuring we comply at all times with its obligation under the Privacy Act 1998 (Cwth).

National Privacy Principles

Thomas Textiles is bound by the National Privacy Principles (the "Principles"). The Principles will be binding on most private sector employers from 21st December 2001.

Thomas Textiles will keep all its employees and clients (and anyone else who may be effected) appraised of the status of its Privacy Code. The Privacy Code will override the status of the Principles when it has received approval from the Privacy Commissioner.

Information Held

Thomas Textiles currently holds some information in relation to its clients, employees, contractors and other workplace participants. Thomas Textiles will not pass on any personal information without the approval of the relevant client or staff member.
